The plastics film coater for e.g. rubber footwear soles has a rolltrain (1) carrying the rubber (2), with simultaneous feed of plastics film from a top reel (4). Application rollers (5,6) supplement a controlled-temperature heater, an automatic application pressure controller and a film automatic cutter.
