A conveyor system (10) for conveying articles (11) along a conveying path and for selectively discharging said items (11) on each side of the conveying path, holding said conveyor system (10) by a stationary frame (40 ) and comprising: a conveyor base portion (20) moving along the conveying path relative to said frame (40); a tiltable tray (31) defining a support surface facing upwards, said tiltable tray (31) a middle portion and two side edges; a first tiltable connection (33A, 40A) between a first side edge of said tray (31) and said conveyor base portion (20); a second tiltable connection (33B, 40B) between a second side of said tray member (31) edge and said conveyor base portion (20); characterized in that said tiltable connections (33A, 40A; 33B, 40B) are selectively removable, and by a force element (32) selectively operable for selectively urging said medial portion of said tray (31) upwardly relative to said base portion (20) while one but not the other, the two edges of tray is pivotally connected to said base portion (20), so that with only one of the two edges of tray pivotally connected to the base (20), an element (11) resting on the tray (31) can be downloaded over the attached edge by activating the force element (32) and allowing the tray (31) to tilt to the side having the tiltable attachment.
