The recuperation of spiral aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis membranes comprises application in succession of aqueous solutions of citric acid, polyvinyl methyl ether and tannic acid at below 5 bar pressure. Also claimed is the membrane of the process. The membrane is treated twice in succession with the ether solution and with the citric acid and tannic acid solution again with pauses between the treatments.
