BLOCK UNIT FOR REPAIRING FLOW PASSAGE FACILITIES AND METHOD OF REPAIRING FLOW PASSAGE FACILITIES

A block unit for repairing flow passage facilities is provided for permittingadesired repair operation. A method of repairing flow passage facilities usingthe blockunit is also provided. The block unit includes an inner plate defining aninner surface, anouter plate disposed along a peripheral edge of the inner plate, and aplurality ofreinforcing ribs for reinforcing the inner plate and the outer plate. Theblock unitsadjoining in a circumferential direction are joined together with boltsinserted throughboth circumferential end faces of each of the block units and nuts fitted onthe bolts toform a short tube within a flow passage. The short tubes are connected in alongitudinaldirection to form a continuous tubular assembly having an outer diametersmaller than aninner diameter of the flow passage. A grout material is injected into aclearance spaceformed between the tubular assembly and the flow passage.
