APPARATUS FOR THE CHARACTERISATION OF PIGMENTED SKIN LESIONS

An apparatus is described, for the characterisation of pigmented skinlesions, which comprises an instrument for the acquisition of a plurality ofimages of the lesion, filmed with lighting at different wavelengths, meansdesigned to segment and parameterise each of said images, means designed toextrapolate a data set from said images and input said data into a neuralnetwork system, means designed to compare the results processed by saidneural network with the results obtained following similar processing ofknown cases, and means designed to vary the weighting of each parametersupplied to the neural network on the basis of said results.
