A sign language video presentation device, a sign language video I/O device,and a sign language interpretation system using the same enabling a deaf muteto get explanation by sign language while viewing the outer world by freelyshifting his/her sight line. The sign language video presentation deviceincludes a display device (12) for displaying a sign language video, a fixingdevice (13) for fixing the display device (12) in front of the eyes of thedeaf mute, and a video telephone connection device (16) for supplying thedisplay device (12) with the sign language video being received at a videotelephone terminal (10). The sign language video I/O device includes a signlanguage imaging camera (14) for picking up a sign language of the deaf muteto the sign language video presentation device and a waist fixing device (15)for fixing the sign language imaging camera (14) at the waist of the deafmute, so that the sign language of the deaf mute picked up by the signlanguage imaging camera (14) is supplied to the video telephone terminal (10).The sign language interpretation system (100) provides a sign languageinterpretation service when a deaf mute converses with a non-deaf mute personby using the sign language video I/O device.
