The invention relates to a method for detecting ligands which are bound to a pre-determined drug target. Said method is based on the nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) measuring method and especially on the possibility of being able to clearly select the test substances by means of isotope marker, using NMR spectroscopy. The invention thus also relates to methods for creating corresponding substance banks, and involves the following aspects: (1) a method for creating a substance bank exclusively from compounds which contain at least one core of an NMR-observed element or isotope so that they can be observed by selective NMR-spectroscopy, said element or isotope being absent or only very rarely present in the drug target; (2) the substance bank which can be created by said method; and (3) a method for identifying active ingredients which are bound to a drug target, said method involving the substance bank and being characterised by the recording of NMR spectra which are edited or filtered according to the element or isotope present.
