A structure having fluid sealed therein, such as a tire, comprising a water absorbent material disposed along a wall surface thereof and, covering the same, a cover sheet so as to retain the water absorbent material between the cover sheet and an inner wall surface, wherein the water absorbent material is constituted of a powdery water absorbent polymer or other material capable of swelling upon absorption of water, so that the water absorbent material is swelled by injection of water thereinto so as to generate a swelling pressure between the cover sheet and the inner wall surface of the structure having fluid sealed therein. Thus, even when a nail plunged from outside is detached or otherwise a hole is made, the hole is filled by the action of swelling pressure and internal pressure of the structure having fluid sealed therein, so that leakage of gas and liquid from inside can be prevented.
