The present invention provides a method for the treatment, control and/or prevention of certain inflammatory conditions selected from the group consisting of inflammation of the respiratory tract of said mammal and inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract of said mammal, which method comprises administering to said mammal a therapeutically effective amount of at least one omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid.
