The invention relates to magnetically responsive compositions comprising iron-ceramic particles used to carry substances for iin vivo/i medical diagnosis and/or treatment. The particles are formed by joint deformation of iron and ceramic powders. Diagnostic or therapeutic substances may be adsorbed thereon. The particles may be produced by mechanical milling of a mixture of iron and ceramic powders.
