The present invention discloses methods of treating or inhibiting one or more of sick building syndrome (SBS), post-Lyme Disease Syndrome (PLDS), and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) by administering to a patient in need thereof an amount effective of cholestyramine and/or alpha -melanocyte stimulating hormone to treat or inhibit one or more of these syndromes.
