A retaining device which can be fixed to supports, comprising retaining means for retaining one or several cables and fixing means for fixing the retaining means to the support. The retaining means extends substantially along the peripheral surface of the support and has a fixing-side and a support-side section. The support-side section is contiguous to the support and the fixing means engages with the fixing-side section. The retaining device is used for retaining purposes and also seals a cable feed which is guided from the inside to the outside in the region of a support connection.
