The present invention relates to aqueous, acidic compositions comprising a peroxygen bleach and amino tri(methylene phosphonic acid) (ATMP). The present invention further encompasses a process for pretreating soiled fabrics whereby the loss of tensile strength in said fabric is reduced and the color/dye damage of said fabric is reduced.
