A glass/ceramic composite material comprising an at least partly glassy matrix, a ceramic filler, a ceramic film, a ceramic layer composite or microhybrid (5) with said composite material is disclosed, whereby the matrix comprises lithium, silicon, aluminium and oxygen and at least partly a crystalline phase. A method for production thereof is also disclosed, whereby a glass with crystalline regions is fused from a starting material comprising 30 wt.% to 68 wt.% Si02, 10 wt.% to 25 wt.% Al203, 5 wt.% to 20 wt.% Li02, 0 wt.% to 35 wt.% B203, 0 wt.% to 10 wt.% P205, 0 wt.% to 10 wt.% Sb203 and 0 wt.% to 3 wt.% Zr02 and transformed into a glass powder. A ceramic filler, in particular powdery aluminium nitride, is then mixed with the glass powder and said powder mixture, in particular after addition of further components is then sintered.
