The feeder comprises a dispenser unit, an accelerator belt (10), a counter-magazine (12) and a feeder table (14) on which runs a conveyor (16) with carriers (18). The counter magazine consists of two separately opened and closed stacking-shelves (24, 26) automatically controlled by the inflow and outflow of the inner books. The conveyor and cutting cell (20) of the three-cutter machine are automatically controlled in variable cycle times dependent on the capacity of the counter magazine and the inflow of inner books. Sensors connected to the control unit are positioned on the bottom stacking shelf (26) and on the feeder table for detecting the inner books.
