The invention relates to a device and a method for enriching gas or gas mixtures in potable water, which make it possible to obtain a uniform gas water mixture while using a minimum amount of assembly space and energy at the preliminary pressure supplied by domestic water pipes. Said device comprises a nozzle member (2) in the top portion of a nozzle container (1), a subjacent nozzle outlet chamber (3), and an adjacent nozzle outlet space (4). A microsieve bearing (5) which receives microsieves (6) is disposed between the nozzle outlet chamber (3) and the nozzle outlet space (4). The water is distributed in an annular nozzle chamber (11), accelerated through a cross-sectional constriction, and is guided so as to centrally collide at a predefined distance from the lower border of the annular nozzle chamber (11). The gas or a gas mixture that is introduced in the middle of the nozzle outlet chamber (3) is entrained as a result of the negative pressure of the annular water jet, the introduced gas being bonded in the water by means of the impact energy.
