Use of octocrylene to solubilise 2,4-bis-4-(2-ethyl-hexyloxy)-2-hydroxy-phenyl-6-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,5-triazin in cosmetic or dermatologic radiation screening compositions

Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate (octocrylene) is used to solubilize 2,4-bis(4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-2-hydroxyphenyl)-6-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,5 -triazine (I) in cosmetic or dermatological photoprotective compositions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) use of octocrylene to increase the solar protection factor and/or UV-A protective power of cosmetic or dermatological compositions containing (I); (2) use of (I) to increase the solar protection factor and/or UV-A protective power of cosmetic or dermatological compositions containing octocrylene.
