It is intended to provide a method of using rice-origin peroxidase, in particular rice chaff-origin peroxidase, having a high reactivity at a high temperature and a high stability. Using the rice-origin peroxidase, coloring matters (dyes, etc.) in a washing liquor are degraded (i.e., discoloring and bleaching). More specifically speaking, migration of a fiber dye from a dyed fabric to another fabric is prevented in case of washing or rinsing the dyed fabric together with another fabric in a single washing liquor. Also, a fiber dye in a solution or a dispersion is bleached. By effectively preventing the migration of a dye during washing or rinsing as described above, an improved method of bleaching a fiber dye in a solution or a dispersion and a composition for preventing dye migration and bleaching can be provided.
