The present invention relates to a gap-sealed piston ring, a gap-sealed ring-reduction piston engine and a ring-reduction reciprocating mechanism, wherein, the gap-sealed ring-reduction piston engine and the ring-reduction reciprocating mechanism comprise at least one gap-sealed piston ring, said gap-sealed piston ring forms an axially parallel cut line extended along a long arc, said long arc forms a sharp angle α with respect to the outer circumference where α10°. The inner and outer circumference of the slanted cut piston ring form an inner edge of a cut line extended along a long arc and an overlapping outer edge, said inner edge and outer edge are elastically overlapped with each other.
