A miniature, finger computer mouse (22) is provided, arranged as a sleeve, for wearing on the index finger (12), at a natural anatomic resting position of the thumb (20) on the finger. Mouse manipulation is achieved by the combined action of the thumb (20) and the index finger (12), which is controlled by the intrinsic musculature of the hand (10) and is more accurate and more sensible to joint movement than the extrinsic extensor muscles of the forearm. Overuse and overload of the tendons, and their consequential orthopedic disorders, are avoided.
