The present invention is aimed at a non-toxic apoptosis-inducing factor derivative having chemosensitizing properties, referred as ADD70, allelic variants, isoforms and analogs thereof, wherein the ADD70 polypeptide comprises the sequence involved in the binding with HSP70 but not the sequence implicated in the DNA damaging activity of the apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF).
