The invention concerns an interchangeable or fixed clipping insert (1 and 2) made of highly cutting steel avoiding the need for re-sharpening the clipping heads for trimming hairs or hair. Said inserts are positioned by centring members such as pins or studs (6) or centring housings (3) on the base comb (7) and the upper comb (8) of the clipping head made of stainless steel materials for promoting hygiene. Said clipping inserts are thus positioned instead of sharpening allowance traditionally provided by manufacturers and depending on particular embodiments the entire set of teeth of the clipping head is made up solely by the insert.
