The invention relates to a method for withdrawing saw blade base bodies (22, 23) one by one from a feeder magazine (13). A gripper arm (17) picks up a saw blade base body (22) and displaces said saw blade base body (22) beyond the first mandrel (15) so that the saw blade base body (22) is no longer engaged with the first mandrel (15). The gripper arm (17) displaces the picked-up saw blade base body (22) radially to the directly adjoining saw blade base body to such an extent that a further separation is unproblematic or so far beyond the directly adjoining saw blade base body that the picked-up saw blade base body (22) can be displaced in parallel to the first mandrel (15) in a direction in which it removes the saw blade base bodies still supported on the first mandrel (15) from the free end of the first mandrel (15) and displaces the saw blade base bodies supported on the first mandrel (15) into a position in which they are safely supported on the first mandrel (15).
