A kind of new method is described, the light beam emitted with the quality improving that fabrication strength is distributed by space segment coherent source is by means of periodic diffractive optical element (704). In meaning, the unsuitable shaping spatial coherence light field of periodic diffractive element is described in the present invention, due to there is strong structural relevant influence, but is concerned with by the segment space of the light field of multimode light sources transmitting and inhibits these influences. The present invention can be used for the intensity distribution of forming transmission by laser, light emitting diode or optical fiber, or in limited distance from source (703) or in far field. Present invention is particularly beneficial in shape and improve the light beam issued from high power excimer laser device, semiconductor laser, resonant cavity light emitting diodes or laser array or light emitting diode (702,705).
