The invention relates to a method for improving the regulation behaviour of a slip control system by applying the brakes (BASR), wherein a pressure value characterised as a filling pulse or a set pressure is pre defined when a slip control procedure is initiated. According to the invention, the set value (Epsoll) is defined in order to determine the filling pulse and/or as a reference variable for regulating the wheel brake pressure when a slip control procedure is initiated, based on a PD regulator according to the following equation EPSoll1=EPBase+kP1*μF+kD1*μF , wherein Epsoll represents the requested set pressure, EPbase represents the fixed base component, μf represents the filtered wheel slip μf represents filtered wheel slip accleration, kpi represents a proportional multiplication factor, and kd1 represents a differential multiplication factor.
