PURPOSE: A method for modeling a three-dimensional object in detail is provided to reduce a time required for modeling the three-dimensional object by a computer by configuring an octree and obtaining object detail mesh. CONSTITUTION: Surface information of an object is obtained. A regular hexahedron space including the surface information of the object is divided to make N marching cubes(S210). A marching cube octree is configured in a bottom-up method by using the N marching cubes(S220). An LOD(Level of Detail) value is calculated by using a difference between a triangular area of a parent marching cube and a triangular area of a child marching cube in the marching cube octree(S230). A division rank in the same level is decided by using the calculated LOD value and the decided division rank is stored in order of level(S240). Discord of the level between the parent marching cube and the child marching cube is corrected(S250). Triangulars are generated until the corresponding marching cube according to a percentage inputted from a user or the LOD value to generate detain mesh(S260).
