PURPOSE: A main steel girder continuous composite bridge having a precast concrete floor slab reinforced with compressive force by an external steel wire is provided to prevent the crack in a floor slab and to secure the continuity of a floor slab. CONSTITUTION: The main steel girder continuous composite bridge(100) having a precast concrete floor slab(11) reinforced with compressive force by an external steel wire comprises the steps of installing a pair of anchorages(20,20') on a web of a main steel girder(12) in a negative moment zone, tensioning an external steel wire(30) and anchoring both ends of the external steel wire(30) to the anchorages(20,20'), and applying compressive stress on the precast concrete floor slab(11) by tensile force of the external steel wire(30) to reduce the tensile stress added on the precast concrete floor slab(11) by negative moment.
