EXTRACTS OF CINNAMON TREES' CORTEX FOR PROTECTING CROPS FROM HARMFUL DISEASES INDUCED BY PLANT PATHOGENIC ORGANISM

PURPOSE: Provided is a new type pesticide comprising a Cinnamomi Cortex extract which has the same or similar controlling effect as or to chemicals without causing the problems, such as drug-resistant bacteria or environmental pollution and is used for the protection of crops from disease by a plant pathogen. CONSTITUTION: A Cinnamomi Cortex extract, a suitable solvent and/or a surfactant are used for the protection of crops from disease by a plant pathogen such as a pathogenic fungus. The pathogenic fungus is selected from the group consisting of Magnaporthe grecia, Botrytis cinerea, Sphaerotheca fuligenea and Rhizoctonia solani. The disease is mildew, gray mold, leaf blight, bud rot, crown rot, stem rot or root rot disease. The solvent is a mixture of Kocosol-100 and cyclohexanone and the surfactant is HY-300.
