PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing images capable of realizing triple windows and a method for realizing the same are provided to prevent image quality deterioration and signal distortion by realizing triple windows, and satisfy users' preference. CONSTITUTION: A first picture partition part(400) processes inputted first and second image signals as double window image signals. A second picture partition part(500) processes a third image signal inputted with the double window image signals into as triple window image signal. In the case that a TV receiver is rotated, a control unit(600) controls the second picture partition part to transform vertical and horizontal synchronous signals of the triple window image signal to be corresponded to a picture of the rotated TV receiver.
