Stench and VOCs remove system using Biofilter and AC/ACF

PURPOSE: An odor and VOCs control system using biofilter, activated carbon and activated carbon fiber is provided, which can save operation/maintenance cost by 40 % compared to physico-chemical treatment process. The system has eliminated any regeneration process of adsorbent and extended the time to reach the breaking point of adsorbent, thus saving operation cost. The system can also vary the internal stages from one to three according to the concentration and property of the gas to treat, thus increasing treatment efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a biofilter(16) and a vertical adsorber(31). In the vertical biofilter(16), three sets of microorganism carriers(18) above which three sets of water spraying devices(15) are fixed respectively to spray chemicals and cultivation medium. To the spraying water coming from a water tank(12) set at the bottom of the biofilter, chemicals coming from an acid-alkali tank(20) by a chemical circulating pump(19) and cultivation medium coming from the nutritive medium by a pump(11) are fed. The exhaust gas of the biofilter is dehumidified by a demister(33), then enters the vertical adsorber(31) through the bottom, in which activated carbon cartridges are set by three stages, and vented by the fan(30).
