PURPOSE: A system and method for determining search ranking is provided for quickly satisfying a user's demand by eliminating a vote of an inaccurate group, supporting a continuous attendance of experts having a professional knowledge and increasing the quality of a search of a web document. CONSTITUTION: A system and method for determining search ranking includes a web site database(10), a user tracing database(20), an expert classification database(30), and a ranking database(40) which includes a data transferring database(41) and a ranking adjusting database(42). The web site database(10) stores information related to other web sited connected with the internet. If a user present a query, the web site database provides lists related to the query. If the user selects a site from the lists, the user tracing database traces the site which the user select using a cookie.
