PURPOSE: Provided is a method for identifying wild ginseng by DNA finger-printing method, particularly Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism(AFLP)-silver staining. CONSTITUTION: A method for identifying wild ginseng by DNA finger-printing method comprises the steps of; (a) treating adventitious root DNA of ginseng with restriction enzymes, such as EcoR I and Mse I to give DNA fragments; (b) ligating EcoRI-adaptor of SEQ ID NOs: 17-18 to the EcoRI restricted end of the DNA fragment, and Mse I-adaptor of SEQ ID NOs: 19-20 to the Mse I restricted end of the DNA fragment; (c) amplifying the ligated DNA fragment with a primer of SEQ IN NOs: 21-22; and (d) and amplifying the amplified products with a pair of primers selected from SEQ IN NOs: 1-16.
