PURPOSE: A plastic gear for power transmission is provided to achieve considerable improvement in the strength of the gear itself as well as accuracy, low noise generation, and good lubrication, thereby improving quality and reliability. CONSTITUTION: In the plastic gear for power transmission, which is injection molded by using plastic so that it comprises a boss(1) having an axial bore(1a), a toothed rim(2), and a disk gear body(3) connecting the boss with the rim, during injection molding, the gear body is installed with reinforcing ribs(10) for increasing the strength of a weld line portion. The reinforcing ribs are prepared by the same number as that of gates, and adapted to prevent breakage due to temperature difference caused by cooling of resins during injection molding.
