A method and apparatus to improve the content routing in the Content Delivery Network

PURPOSE: A method and a device for improving the content routing on the CDN(Content Delivery Network) are provided to improve the routing for the content requested from a web user by reducing a load of a content router. CONSTITUTION: Routing tables(11,21,31,41) store the address information of edge servers(6,7,8,9) matched with a content name. The content router(1) stores the routing table storing a position of a web user terminal(2) and the address information of the edge server related to the content information in order to keep adjacency information between the edge servers and the web user terminal. The web user terminal stores the routing table and connects to a web server(4) through the Internet. If the content exists in the routing table by reading a content request signal to be transmitted to the web server, the web user terminal transmits the content request signal to the edge server recorded in the routing table. If the content is not existed in the routing table, the web user terminal requests an address of the edge server to the content router or a local DNS(Domain Name Server), and updates the routing table.
