PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring the tracking quality of a passive infrared seeker is provided to improve the number of hits for the high speed flying object by measuring the line of sight rate as the output signal of the infrared seeker. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the tracking quality of a passive infrared seeker includes a rotational detection sensor(120), a rotational position signal generation circuit(130), a multiplier(140), a first low pass filter(150), a band pass filter(160), a full-wave rectifying circuit(170), a second low pass filter(180) and a measuring device(190). The rotational detection sensor(120) detects the rotation of the high speed flying object. The rotational position signal generation circuit(130) outputs the rotational position signal in the form of pulse by using the signal outputted from the rotational detection sensor(120). The band pass filter(160) passes only the frequency of the specific bandwidth among the signals outputted from the multiplier(140). The full-wave rectifying circuit(170) rectifies the signal outputted from the band pass filter(160). The second low pass filter(180) outputs only the signal having the AC component by removing the frequency components being lower than a predetermined value. And, the measuring device(190) measures the signal of DC components outputted from the first low pass filter(150) and the signal of AC components outputted from the second low pass filter(180).
