PURPOSE: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition which inhibits the growth of vascular smooth muscle cells of aorta while activating the vasodilation, and is used for the prevention of vascular restenosis. Also, provided is a stent coated thereby. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition comprises clotrimazole to prevent and treat vascular restenosis and involved in transcutaneous coronary angioplasty, balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, coronary artery bypass graft, or artery-vein bypass surgery. A stent is coated with the pharmaceutical composition through dip-coating or polymer-coating.
