AUXILIARY POWER UNIT CONTROLLING DEVICE OF SERIES HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PURPOSE: An auxiliary power control unit for series hybrid electric vehicle is provided to improve an electrical characteristic of an auxiliary power unit by supplying properly the electric power to a load terminal of the auxiliary power unit. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary power control unit for series hybrid electric vehicle includes a DC generator(310), an orthogonal converter(320), a generator control unit(330), and an auxiliary power unit controller(340). The DC generator(310) is used for converting the mechanical power of the series hybrid electric vehicle to electric energy. The orthogonal converter(320) includes a plurality of semiconductor devices in order to convert DC of the DC generator to AC. The generator control unit(330) transmits a torque command of the DC generator to the orthogonal converter according to an external command. The auxiliary power unit controller(340) outputs an engine throttle command to an ECU(Engine Control Unit) and outputs a voltage command to the generator control unit.
