The Suspension Polymerization Process of Expandable Polystyrene Which Has the Good Effect for Environment and Human Body

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a human body-friendly effervescent styrene resin particle and a effervescent styrene resin particle prepared by the method are provided, to improve the stiffness and to reduce the content of remaining monomers. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of adding a suspension stabilizer to water in a polymerization bath; adding a styrene monomer, 1,1-bis t-butylperoxy-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane and t-amyl-2-ethylhexyl monoperoxycarbonate with stirring to the polymerization bath to polymerize them at a high temperature; and soaking a hydrocarbon having a low boiling point in the identical polymerization bath at a temperature lower than a softening point. Preferably the suspension stabilizer is tricalcium phosphate and/or hydroxyethyl cellulose; and the hydrocarbon having a low boiling point is pentane, butane or propane.
