Aluminum complexes for use in blue organic EL device manufacturing method thereof and organic EL device using the same

PURPOSE: Aluminum complexes for a blue organic EL device, a manufacturing method thereof and an organic EL device using the same are provided. The aluminum complexes are useful as a blue luminous material of an organic EL device, and the organic EL device emits high brightness of blue light that is not reported before. CONSTITUTION: Aluminum complexes for a blue organic EL device represented by the formula(1) are provided, wherein q is 8-quinolinato; Y1 to Y6 are the same or different, and selected from hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, halogen, cyano, nitro, carboxy, sulfonyl, amide and heterocycle; OR is triarylsiloxy having OSiR'3 structure or aryloxy having OR' structure; R' is aromatic or alkyl; OR' is alkylaryloxy or aryl aryloxy; and SAlq and BAlq are excluded in the aluminum complexes. A method for manufacturing the aluminum complexes for a blue organic EL device comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving aluminum isopro-poxide in iso-propanol and adding 8-quinolinol containing iso-propanol solution to the solution; (b) adding 8-quinolinol and silanol or aryloxy dissolved in iso-propanol to the mixed solution to precipitate solid contents; (c) washing the solid contents with iso-propanol and diethylether, sequentially; and (d) drying the solid contents.
