Batch Composition of Insulating Castable for Wet Gunning

PURPOSE: Provided is a heat insulating castable refractory composition for shotcrete, which is used for heat insulation of a wall or a tundish cover of a steel making furnace and has excellent heat insulating property and operation capability. CONSTITUTION: The heat insulating castable refractory composition for shotcrete comprises: 20-30 wt% of alumina powder having a size of 0.074 mm or less; 20-30 wt% of ceramic fibers; 10-15 wt% of alumina cement; 2-3 wt% of silica flower; 1-2 wt% of a mullite bonded clinker having a particle size of 3 mm or less; and other inevitable impurities. The refractory composition additionally comprises 0.1-0.4 wt% of sodium hexametaphosphate as an extra component, based on the total weight of the composition.
