Linear Reciprocating Flux Reversal PM Machine

PURPOSE: A linear reciprocating device is provided to reduce the size and thickness of the device, while achieving improved efficiency and allowing for ease of manufacture. CONSTITUTION: A linear reciprocating device comprises stators(10,11), a mover(20) reciprocating in the stators, and a spring(40) for returning the mover to the original position. The stators are opposed from each other with the mover interposed between the stators, wherein each of the stators has a coil(30) wound along the outer surface of the stator, and interpole sections and air gap sections arranged alternately in the motion direction of the mover in such a manner that the air gap section of one stator is opposed to the interpole section of the other stator. The mover has one or more magnets(M1,M2,M3,M4) arranged in the mover in the direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the mover. The spring is connected to one or both sides of the mover.
