PURPOSE: To realize idling stop control for quickly restarting a vehicle without causing abnormal combustion such as knocking at restarting time from an idling stop in the vehicle mounted with a diesel engine system using DME as fuel. CONSTITUTION: When a key switch 104 is an ON state (Yes in Step S1), determination is made on whether or not an idling stop condition is realized (Step S2). When the condition is realized (Yes in Step S2), a diesel engine 200 is stopped (Step S3). A timer is operated for measuring time after stopping the diesel engine 200 (Step S5). Determination is made on whether or not time T after stopping the diesel engine 200 reaches fixed time (Step S6). When the time T after stopping the diesel engine 200 exceeds the fixed time (Yes in Step S6), the diesel engine 200 is restarted (Step S8).
