PURPOSE: Method for keeping fish in a fish tank and cultivating fish in a fish culture plant is provided to disinfect various bacteria resident in water, to promote growth and health of fish in a fish tank or fish culture plant and to protect fish from various diseases, using various materials radiating far infrared ray and negative ions which are beneficial to growth and health of fish. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises immersing jade, amethyst, yellow soil or elvan into multiple locations inside the fish tank or the fish culture plant; and pulverizing the jade, amethyst, yellow soil or elvan to yield a mixed powder and adding about 5 to 20% by weight of the mixed powder to feedstuff.
