Pre-treatment system equipped with UV sterilization lamps for the removal of suspended solids and biofilm in wastewater

PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater pre-treatment apparatus for removing suspended solids such as organic materials and nutrient before wastewater goes to a filter to prevent clogging of filter mesh. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a filter(7) made of a corn shape net; a vessel(8) for storing the filtrate of the filter(7); a water inlet pipe(1) selectively connected to upflow and downflow water passages(4) for supplying wastewater to the filter(7) and the vessel(8) via a first valve(3), a water discharging pipe(11) for discharging wastewater flowing down along the surface of the filter(7) and the vessel(8), a drain pipe(15) connected between the vessel(8) and the water discharging pipe(11) for discharging wastewater via a second valve(12) when the wastewater is dropped into the vessel(8) through the downflow water passage, a water intake pipe(13) externally extending to the inside of the vessel(8) for collecting the filtrate of the filter(7), which is stored in the vessel(8), and a pair of ultraviolet lamps(9) installed above the filter(7) for irradiating UV rays to the filter(7).
