PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing an electro-optical device, an electro-optical device, a transferred chip, a transfer origin substrate, and an electronic apparatus are provided to achieve improved yield rate and reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing an electro-optical device comprises a step of arranging wires(20,30) for driving a plurality of electro-optical elements constituting each of color pixels on a first substrate in such a manner that the wires correspond to the arrangement of basic pixels(101); a step of arranging a driving circuit for driving the electro-optical elements constituting color pixels of the basic pixels on a second substrate in such a manner that the driving circuit becomes a chip to be transferred to each of the basic pixels, thus obtaining a plurality of basic pixel driving chips(34); and a step of transferring each of the basic pixel driving chips from the second substrate to the first substrate, and connecting the driving circuit to each of the region corresponding to the basic pixels of the wires.
