摘要

PURPOSE: A TAB tape carrier for mounting electronic parts by a TAB method is provided to reduce thickness of an insulating layer and improve dimensional accuracy and position accuracy by forming a reinforcing layer of stainless steel foil on a rear surface of the insulating layer. CONSTITUTION: A TAB tape carrier(1) includes an insulating layer(2), a plurality of electric conductor patterns, and a reinforcing layer. The electric conductor patterns(7) are formed on a front surface of the insulating layer. Each of the electric conductor patterns is formed with a plurality of wires(8) which are arranged in a predetermined interval. The reinforcing layer(4) of stainless steel foil is formed on a rear surface of the insulating layer so as to be provided along a lengthwise direction of the insulating layer at opposite side edge parts in a widthwise direction of the insulating layer.
