PURPOSE: A method for predicting a position of a moving object in a bad condition of reception is provided to precisely predict the position of the moving object by using a speed value of the moving object and digital numerical map. CONSTITUTION: A method for predicting a position of a moving object includes a step of determining whether or not the moving object is positioned in a bad reception condition for GPS position data(S100). If the moving object is positioned in the bad reception condition, a straight moving distance of the moving object in a unit time is calculated by using a speed of the moving object(S110). After that, position data corresponding to the straight moving distance of the moving object is calculated so as to predict the position of the moving object(S120) by matching the position data with a digital numerical map.
