PURPOSE: An optical unit and a photographing device are provided to execute a night shot function and a night framing function without using an infrared filter or an infrared filter driver and reduce the thicknesses of an optical barrel and a collapsible lens. CONSTITUTION: An optical unit includes an optical barrel and a photographing device arranged on the optical axis of the optical barrel at the side of the rear of the optical barrel. The optical unit has an infrared ray transmissivity controller(100) that is located on the optical axis of the photographing device at the side of the front of the photographing device and controls the quantity of infrared electromagnetic wave. Alternatively, the optical unit includes a fixed barrel, at least one lens barrel(90) moved along the direction of the optical axis of the fixed barrel, and a photographing device arranged on the optical axis of the lens barrel at the side of the rear part of the lens barrel.
