Extracting method of extract from Protaetia brevitarsis grub and pharmaceutical composition for diabetes treatment containing the extract

PURPOSE: Provided are a method for extracting a crude extract from the Protaetia brevitarsis larva and a therapeutic composition for diabetes which contains, as an active ingredient, the crude extract increasing therapeutic effect on diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting crude extract from a Protaetia brevitarsis larva comprises the steps of: leaving a Protaetia brevitarsis larva as it is to remove excretion from the body completely, steaming it for 3 hours and drying it; dipping the dried Protaetia brevitarsis larva in distilled water for 2 days or more and filtering it; centrifuging the filtrate and filtering it again to give a filtrate containing an active ingredient; extracting the filtrate with hexane two times to separate a water fraction; and freeze-drying the water fraction. A therapeutic composition for diabetes comprises, as an active ingredient, the crude extract obtained above.
