PURPOSE: An apparatus for operating in parallel a transformer using a characteristic of a load factor and a controlling system thereof are provided to enhance the reliability of a power supply process by operating in parallel a transformer according to a load rate. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for operating in parallel a transformer using a characteristic of a load factor includes a first and a second transformer(10,20), a first and a second cutoff switch A(11,12), a first and a second cutoff switch B(21,22), a tie breaker(30), a detection unit(40), and a calculation control unit(50). The first and the second transformers(10,20) are arranged vertically or horizontally within a single package. The first and the second cutoff switches A(11,12) and the first and the second cutoff switches B(21,22) are installed at front ends and rear ends of the first and the second transformers. The tie breaker(30) is installed between the selected transformer and the load. The detection unit(40) detects voltage and current of the load. The calculation control unit(50) transmits on/off control signals to the first and the second cutoff switches A(11,12) and the first and the second cutoff switches B(21,22) in order to switch each operating state of the first and the second transformers to a single operating state or a parallel operating state according to a loading rate.
